Tri-Star Engineering,
Inc. has been manufacturing special cutting tools since 1976, and
occupies a modern, 16,000 square foot facility in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
Tri-Star Engineering has a staff of more than 40 employees.
Tri-Star Engineering
manufactures a variety of precision cutting tools. These include special
drills, reamers, counterbores, trepan tools and hollow mills. We have the
capacity to make these from solid carbide, solid high-speed steel, or
with carbide tips. Industries served include the automotive, plumbing
supply, aircraft, and appliance industries where the accuracy
and durability of machine cutting tools are important. We are
capable of manufacturing these cutting tools from your prints or our
design created from your piece part prints.
Our range of
specialized capabilities includes Radial and Axial CAM RELIEF grinding,
in both internal and external forms. For more

Our CNC GRIND
department has six of the special TRI-STAR CNC GRINDERS. These have the
capacity to grind from solid material, both carbide and the super HSS
materials, used in today's special cutting tools. This equipment is
important to you as an end user because of the repeatability of process
and reduced lead times possible.
We also offer
increased support to you in several ways:
1.
We offer a repair service for our tools, re-sharpening them
whenever possible, to "New-like" condition.
2.
We will continue to evaluate each tool we produce and make
recommendations, if we have any, to reduce the costs to you & to
suggest ways to make the tooling last longer.
3.
We will respond to your request for an expedited delivery in a
timely manner. If you call in the morning, we can have an answer within 4
hours. If you call in the afternoon, you will receive an answer early the
next morning.
